We have been receiving inquiries about the Federal Indian Hospitals Settlement, including questions related to the former Fort Qu’Appelle Indian Hospital.

To support community members in accessing accurate and up-to-date information, we are sharing where individuals can go directly for information about the settlement process, available supports, and how to submit a claim.

The claims process opened January 27, 2026, and claimants have until July 27, 2028 to submit a claim. You do not need medical or hospital records to file a claim. Free, trauma-informed support is available through Claims Helpers who can explain the process, answer questions, and help prepare a claim.
