POSITION SUMMARY

An Integrated and Wholistic Approach to Health Care Delivery

Located on Treaty 4 Territory in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley, the All Nations’ Healing Hospital (ANHH) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

This position supervises the operations of the Maintenance Department and related building systems and equipment.

  • Supervise maintenance service workers, prioritizes workloads, coordinates staff schedules, address payroll inquiries, conduct performance evaluations and reviews, coordinates preventative maintenance programs,
  • Prepares reports and provides recommendations on the operations of the facility
  • Assist in establishing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Approves and verifies budget expenditures and service agreements
  • Performs final inspections of projects/renovations
  • Installs, repairs and maintains equipment
  • Upgrades and/or modifies equipment/systems
  • Ensures all work complies with CSA Infection Control Standards (CSA Z317.13:22)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12
  • Journeyperson certification in an applicable maintenance trade
  • Thirty-six (36) months previous experience working as a Journeyperson in a commercial/industrial maintenance environment to consolidate knowledge and skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation, building codes, occupational health and safety requirements, and healthcare facility standards.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring employees, including scheduling, workload prioritization, performance management, and staff development.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and monitoring preventative maintenance programs and facility maintenance operations.
  • Experience preparing operational reports and making recommendations to improve facility operations and efficiency
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and other computerized maintenance and reporting systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, departments, contractors, and external service providers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and respect of, and ability to work within First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license and Clean Criminal Record
